On Sunday morning we visited Fasori Evangélikus Egyházközség, or as we savvy travelers say, “a beautiful Lutheran church in a nice area of town.” They feature an English language service, but the word hasn’t gotten out that far as yet, because there were only three other people in attendance when things got started.
Pleasantly, we discovered it didn’t matter to the pastor, who led us through the liturgy with grace and élan, delivering a fine sermon along the way, and talking enthusiastically with us about our ministry at the end. We weren’t sure we were in the right place at 9:30, but an hour later we were glad we came.
You got to sing like you don’t need the money
Love like you’ll never get hurt
You got to dance like nobody’s watchin’
It’s gotta come from the heart if you want it to work
