The Warmth before the Cold

How better to capture a gorgeous day than with a picture of my gorgeous wife? 🙂 We’re standing on the Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge), looking north up the Danube toward Castle Hill; that’s Erzsébet (Elizabeth) híd spanning the river behind her. The weather has been wonderful most of November, with temperatures hitting 60°F a couple of times this week — it’s 61° as I type this before we head back out for some more vitamin D! December looks to be coming in like a lion, however, with highs in the mid 30s this weekend and snow forecast for Monday.

And as an unexpected bonus, we got to find out what “frissen festve” means… fresh paint. Köszönöm, nameless bridge maintenance worker, köszönöm.
