Coming over here, we knew the cuisine tended toward poultry and pork (and it’s delicious), but we weren’t prepared for the virtual absence of beef on menus or in the stores. Problem solved yesterday — went to Black Cab Burger (so named after the London taxis that are the core of their motif) and indulged in a bit of carnivorous bliss.

So far, we’ve been able to scratch most of those “stuff we miss from home” itches. Peanut butter? Check. Mexican food? Check. Alison and Eric? Check back in six weeks.
